Construction of the third phase of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport started

On June 27, the third phase project of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, contracted by China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau and China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, broke ground.

China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau undertook the construction of the new terminal building and land side traffic center of the project. The total contract amount was 8.25 billion yuan, with a total construction area of about 660000 square meters, including the new passenger terminal (including three north side corridors), underground space development (high-speed railway station), outdoor ancillary works, and original building reconstruction. The project is a large-scale deep foundation pit group, with a total area of about 163 thousand square meters; the number of steel structure components is about 100000, with a total weight of about 60000 tons; the total area of curtain wall of the project is more than 200000 square meters; there are super long and overweight large steel column components in the glass curtain wall of the main building; the decoration area is about 500000 square meters.

China Construction Third Engineering Bureau undertook the main project of the land side transportation center of the project, with a total contract value of more than 5 billion yuan, including new comprehensive transportation center, overnight passenger room and supporting business room, with a total construction area of 640000 square meters. The foundation pit of the main project of landside traffic center covers an area of 110000 square meters, with four underground floors. The underground structure of C1 area with a single floor area of 41000 square meters will be constructed by top-down method.

As one of the top ten landmark projects in Zhejiang Province and an important supporting project for Hangzhou Asian Games in 2022, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport Phase III will greatly enhance the support capacity of Hangzhou Airport, providing an important guarantee for Hangzhou to host the Asian Games and display the image of an international city. In the long term, Xiaoshan Airport will be built into a world-class modern large-scale comprehensive transportation hub integrating aviation, high-speed rail, intercity, subway, long-distance transportation, public transportation and taxi, striving to meet the annual passenger throughput of 100 million person times.
